Sagittarius B2, a giant molecular cloud near the galactic centre, contains vast quantities of ethyl alcohol along with methanol, formic acid and a compound partly responsible for the smell of raspberries. It is a nursery for complex organic chemistry, which is why astronomers keep finding recognisable molecules there.
